Green
Analytical, curious and cool-headed — you chase understanding, competence and ideas that hold up.
You are the quiet mind at the back of the room, taking it all apart to see how it works. Competence is your compass: you’d rather understand something deeply than perform knowing it. You stay calm when others are swept up in feeling, ask the question everyone tiptoed around, and trust logic to find a way through. Independence matters to you — you think best with room to roam — and incompetence, in yourself or a system, is the thing you can least abide. Ideas are your playground; mastery, your reward.

In depth
At your best
At your best you are the cool, clear head that cuts through the noise. While others react, you analyse — spotting the flaw in the plan, the better design, the unspoken assumption. You stay composed in a crisis precisely because you are looking at the structure, not the storm of emotion. You hold yourself and your work to exacting standards, prize fairness and reason, and follow your curiosity wherever it leads. People come to you for the honest assessment they can trust. There is real freedom in how independently you think, and real elegance in the solutions you find.
In shadow
Lean too hard on logic and you drift somewhere cold. You can dismiss feelings — your own and others’ — as messy, irrational data to be discounted, and miss that a teammate needed comfort, not a correction. You may over-analyse until the moment for action passes, retreat into your head when people need your presence, or come across as aloof and faintly superior. Impatience with “slower” minds leaks into your tone. And you can withhold your inner life so tightly that those who love you feel shut out, left guessing at the warmth you genuinely feel but rarely show.
At work & in a team
You are the team’s analyst and quality bar — the one who stress-tests the idea before it ships and asks the awkward “but why?” You thrive with autonomy, intellectual challenge and competent colleagues. You give honest, precise feedback, sometimes more bluntly than people are ready for. Your risk is appearing detached or dismissive, and undervaluing the emotional and relational work that holds a team together. Lead by explaining your reasoning, not just your conclusion. Pair with a Blue to keep the human cost in view and an Orange to turn your careful analysis into timely action.
How to grow
Your growth is in honouring feeling as real data, not noise. When someone is upset, resist the urge to fix or rationalise — ask what they need, and simply be there. Practise sharing your own inner world out loud; the people close to you are guessing more than you realise. Let “good enough and done” sometimes beat “perfect and theoretical,” and notice when analysis has become a place to hide. Warmth doesn’t cost you competence. The bravest thing for a Green is often to step out of the head and into the moment, imperfect and present.
Roles that fit
You know you’re one when…
- You want to understand the why before you’ll trust the what.
- You stay strangely calm while everyone around you panics.
- You’d rather be competent than merely look the part.
- You ask the blunt question others were too polite to raise.
- You think most clearly when you’re left alone to roam an idea.
