Upright, Death is profound transformation — the end of a chapter, a shedding of the old to clear space for the new. It’s inevitable, cleansing change: let go of what’s finished and allow the rebirth that follows. Resisting only prolongs it; embracing it sets you free.
Reversed meaning
Reversed, Death is change resisted — clinging to what’s already over, fearing the transition, or stalling an ending you know must come. It can mean stagnation from holding on. The card gently insists: the old thing is ready to go; let it.
