IEE (The Advisor) and SEI (The Mediator) hit each other's suggestive function — the thing you most want supplied — which is why this feels so promising so fast. But only half the circuit completes: the second element doesn't land, so a small, specific misunderstanding keeps recurring in the middle of an otherwise excellent fit.

The relation
Socionics names this Semi-duality. It isn’t a rating of the two people — it falls out of where each type’s elements sit in the other’s Model A, and it would say the same about any IEE/SEI pair.
Quadras
IEE is Delta, SEI is Alpha. Different quadras want different things from a room, so even where you get on, the ambient values need translating.
Where the pressure lands
IEE’s vulnerable element is Ti; SEI’s is Te. Those are the two sore spots — in Socionics almost every hard relation is really a story about one person’s strongest element sitting on the other’s weakest.
