ESI · The Guardian & IEE · The Advisor Compatibility
This one is asymmetric, which is what makes it hard. IEE (The Advisor)'s leading element lands squarely on ESI (The Guardian)'s vulnerable function, so IEE sees ESI's weak spot constantly and effortlessly — usually without meaning to. Meanwhile ESI's best work bounces off IEE unnoticed. ESI keeps trying to earn IEE's regard; IEE isn't withholding it and often has no idea any of this is happening.

The relation
Socionics names this Supervision. It isn’t a rating of the two people — it falls out of where each type’s elements sit in the other’s Model A, and it would say the same about any ESI/IEE pair.

ESI is Gamma, IEE is Delta. Different quadras want different things from a room, so even where you get on, the ambient values need translating.
Where the pressure lands
ESI’s vulnerable element is Ne; IEE’s is Ti. Those are the two sore spots — in Socionics almost every hard relation is really a story about one person’s strongest element sitting on the other’s weakest.
A note on gender
This relation is asymmetric. It reads differently depending which side you’re standing on — IEE and ESI are not having the same experience, and that’s the whole point of it.
