This one is asymmetric, which is what makes it hard. IEI (The Lyricist)'s leading element lands squarely on ESE (The Enthusiast)'s vulnerable function, so IEI sees ESE's weak spot constantly and effortlessly — usually without meaning to. Meanwhile ESE's best work bounces off IEI unnoticed. ESE keeps trying to earn IEI's regard; IEI isn't withholding it and often has no idea any of this is happening.

Where the pressure lands
ESE’s vulnerable element is Ni; IEI’s is Te. Those are the two sore spots — in Socionics almost every hard relation is really a story about one person’s strongest element sitting on the other’s weakest.
A note on gender
This relation is asymmetric. It reads differently depending which side you’re standing on — IEI and ESE are not having the same experience, and that’s the whole point of it.
