EIE (The Mentor) and SLE (The Marshal) share a quadra, so the underlying values match — you want the same things from a room. Activation is the bright, fast version of that: you stimulate each other, spark quickly, and get going. The theory's caveat is that it runs hot and tires you both out over long stretches.

Socionics names this Activity (Activation). It isn’t a rating of the two people — it falls out of where each type’s elements sit in the other’s Model A, and it would say the same about any EIE/SLE pair.

Where the pressure lands
EIE’s vulnerable element is Si; SLE’s is Fi. Those are the two sore spots — in Socionics almost every hard relation is really a story about one person’s strongest element sitting on the other’s weakest.
